A track so elusive it didn’t even have a name—at least not on paper.
In 1991, the European cassette version of Orbital (a.k.a. the Green Album) contained an exclusive bonus track listed only as “Untitled”. Unlike the vinyl-exclusive “Macro Head” or the CD’s hidden “I Think It’s Disgusting”, this near-nine-minute piece was never released elsewhere, making the cassette a sought-after collector’s item.
Behind the scenes, however, the track did have a name: “Torpedo Town”, a nod to the free music festival that ran from 1984 to 1992. But the name never made it to the inlay, leaving the track a mystery for decades—circulating only through cassette rips and whispered fan discussions.
Fast forward to 2024: the Green Album reissue finally gave this long-lost piece its due, remastering it for the first time and officially restoring its original title. No longer just a hidden relic, “Torpedo Town” now takes its rightful place in Orbital’s catalog—proof that even an untitled gem can stand the test of time.
