RICHIE HAWTIN ANNOUNCES Tokyo CLOSE SHOW!
As one of Techno’s all time leading artists, Richie Hawtin is no stranger to Japan, but his upcoming return to this country will see him in the middle of a world wide tour for his most ambitious project to date. The “CLOSE – Spontaneity and Synchronicity” tour is the latest audio visual experience from one of techno’s leading lights. The show attempts to challenge the distinction between DJ’ing and live performance and takes you closer to his unique way of performing.
Exploring the relationship between human creativity and the innovative technologies that enable the freedom of improvisation the show uses intimately placed cameras so this man-machine relationship unfolds onscreen in real-time bringing the audience closer than before to Hawtin’s intuitive gestures as they watch the artist’s manipulation of sound in real time as it is projected in abstract form on giant LED screens.
Also performing that evening is Carsten Nicolai, aka Alva Noto, a genius sound artist in his own right. He will be presenting his audio visual live show “UNIEQAV” which is based on his latest album and the completion of experimental rhythmic music trilogy “Uni”.
The UNIEQAV show has been sold out everywhere it goes and the response to his mind-blowing show of the synchronized sound and visual has been rapturous. Carsten creates and designs his unique 3D sound that is perfectly balanced between minimal, meditative and dynamic, and danceable with an experimental abstract visual twist.
Two spectacular audio visual music shows presented by two of the most exciting techno and electronic artists of our time.
