RICHIE HAWTIN unveils ENTER.Sake with exclusive hand-crafted premium
Sake and a cocktail menu collaboration with Barcelona’s 41°
Ibiza’s first sake bar experience will open every Thursday during ENTER. at
Space (opening 5th July 2012)

This summer Ibiza enters a new chapter, with the launch of the island’s
first true sake bar experience. Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.Sake is set to become
the go-to destination on the island. The sunset terrace at the award-
winning club Space in Playa d’en Bossa will be transformed into an intimate
Japanese inspired room, where guests can indulge in premium Japanese
Sake, spirits, beers and a selection of sake cocktails, specially created for
the ENTER.Sake room by the 41° cocktail bar in Barcelona.
Sake is brewed from rice, water & yeast; the soul of Japan and the
ENTER.Sake range of Japanese premium Sakes have been carefully chosen
for their delicate tastes. Hawtin, himself a trained Sake professional and a
huge fan of Japanese culture, has personally hand-selected all eleven Sake
options that will feature throughout the season, including:
ENTER TOYO BIJIN Junmai Daiginjo
‘Clean and light with slight earthy, rice notes in beginning. Balanced and
well-rounded’
STAR HAKURAKUSEI Jummai Daiginjo
‘A beautiful sake that find harmony between fruit sweetness at the
beginning and a long dry elegant finish’
DOT SOOKUU, “ENTER. Special Edition” Junmaishu

The Menu selection will change over the season, introducing new tastes
along with some special variations that will be individually selected for
ENTER.Sake and delivered directly from Japan by the producers Hawtin
met on his recent sourcing trip. Two, special limited edition, ENTER. Sake’s,
ENTER (Toyo Bijin, Junmai Daiginjo) and DOT (Sookuu, Junmaishu) will be
featured. The latter having never been shipped or tasted outside of Japan
before!
In addition, the versatility of the age-old traditional Japanese drink will also
be highlighted by 41°’s specially created Sake & Shochu based menu, which
includes cocktails Fuji, Sky, Rising Sun and Minus.
ENTER.Sake (the pre-party):
For the first time, the official pre-party is in the actual club itself, with
intimate DJ sets from major guests starting each and every Thursday,
from 10pm — midnight. Artists performing at this exclusive pre-party
include Dubfire, Francois K, Josh Wink, Magda, Carl Craig, Paco Osuna,
Nina Kraviz, Richie Hawtin and Maya Jane Coles. After midnight will
feature resident Japanese DJ Hito, playing an eclectic fusion of electronic
music from a Japanese perspective. It’s a rare opportunity to see such
established artist, playing, hanging and enjoying music, sake and friends,
firmly stamping the bar’s new position as the most alluring pre-party on the
island.
ENTER. is Richie Hawtin’s first solo residency on the island of Ibiza, taking
place each Thursday night at Space in Playa d’en Bossa across 12 weeks
(July 5 to September 20), with four rooms built on the principles of music,
sake, technology and experience. ENTER.Sake will open every Thursday
from 10pm, offering a unique al-fresco experience for visitors to the island
with the chance to enjoy intimate DJ sets from the leading names on the
electronic music scene whilst sampling what is set to become Ibiza’s drink
du jour.
