Born from a remix, reshaped into something entirely its own—”Remind” traces its origins back to Meat Beat Manifesto’s Mindstream.
In 1992, while touring the US with MBM, Orbital reworked the track into the Mindstream (Mind the Bend the Mind) [Orbital Mix], a remix that kept little of the original outside of Jack Dangers’ vocals. But that wasn’t the final form. Strip the vocals, push the sound deeper, and you get Remind—a hypnotic, rolling groove built for full sensory lockdown.
Even the bassline and Jupiter-6 synth parts came from a familiar source—Paul’s old mate Chris Daly, who also came up with the name Orbital Madness, later streamlined to just Orbital.
